We are delighted to announce that Prof Piggott recently secured two new EPSRC grants

We are delighted to announce that Prof Piggott, PRISM Co-I, has been successful in being awarded the following EPSRC grants:

• EPSRC Impact Acceleration award “Multi-scale adjoint-enabled modelling to improve operational storm surge forecasting at the Flood Forecasting Centre (FFC) and support the wider modelling community” funded for 12 months to work on translational impact activities using the Thetis model.
• EPSRC iCASE PhD project with Shell “Computational / data science techniques to improve and integrate weather forecasting in business decision-making”, focusing on the use of numerical weather prediction tools to aid areas such as renewable energy generation.
